WHAT IS SOVEREIGNTY?
Living from a state of sovereignty is all about finding and claiming your inner liberation and living a life of freedom and authenticity.
We all have a set of limiting beliefs that hold us back from our greatest potential. So what if you could go deep within, uncover these blocks, and transform that so that you could start living out your Divine Destiny?
I lined out below everything you need to know about overcoming your limitations and claiming your sovereignty.
YOU WERE MEANT TO LIVE A FULFILLING AND MAGNIFICENT LIFE!
Stepping Into Your Power
FEAR: I’M NOT WORTHY OF LIVING IN MY POWER.
How is victimhood holding you back? How can you reclaim your power?
I lived for years giving away my power:
⚡️ Feeling like a victim to every challenge that came my way. Which, 💫surprise💫, created more challenges.
⚡️ Living broke and scrambling just to get by. And by scrambling, I mean couch-hopping / living-in-my-car / secretly-sleeping-in-my-old-office scrambling.
⚡️ Deferring my authority to coach after coach and seminar after seminar. I was looking for someone to rescue me. Unfortunately, they just took all my money and told me to buy the next level program.
How are you giving your power away in order to stay a victim and play small?
True inner liberation can only come when you take RADICAL self-responsibility. And you do this by reclaiming your sovereignty.
How do you step into your power?
💕 STEP 1: Recognize that your external life is a reflection of your internal state of being.
💕 STEP 2: Use a gentle curiosity to explore your beliefs of unworthiness.
💕 STEP 3: Forgive and have compassion towards yourself for having created this reality for so long.
💕 STEP 4: Take radical self-responsibility and clean up your victimhood messes.
💕 STEP 5: Reclaim your sovereignty, embody your power, and create your new reality.
Transforming Your Beliefs
FEAR: I’VE NEVER BEEN GOOD ENOUGH TO BE POWERFUL, AND I’LL NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH.
Where did you first learn this belief? Whose voice is this?
I learned to play small from a young age:
⚡️ I was 6 years old when I started being told I was fat and ugly by my sibling. I started comparing my thigh size to classmates’ in 1st grade. 😧
Belief formed >>> “My physical body determines my worth.”
⚡️ I had a snobby friend in middle school who would come over and tell me how bored she was at my house because we didn’t have a computer and the internet. 😧
Belief formed >>> “I’m only fun to be around if I provide entertainment to my friends. I’m not worthy of friends just as I am.”
⚡️ My closest friends in high school used to make fun of me for being “poor.” I was the running butt of the poverty joke. 😧
Belief formed >>> “My worth is determined by my wealth.”
Reflect back on your experiences of unworthiness. Every experience you had that questioned your worth diminished your ability to stand in your power.
Who told you that you were inherently unworthy, and had to prove your worth by changing yourself?
Inner liberation means untethering yourself from others’ judgements of you, and claiming your INHERENT worth.
How do you release the beliefs from these painful experiences?
💕 STEP 1: Journal out the memories you have that were disempowering.
💕 STEP 2: Identify what beliefs were formed.
💕 STEP 3: Evaluate whether those beliefs are actually true or not.
💕 STEP 4: If not, write down the beliefs that ARE true about you. (Hint: YOU’RE WORTHY.)
💕 STEP 5: Practice meditation, EFT/Tapping, and regular affirmations to shift those beliefs and reclaim your power.
From Victimhood to Sovereignty
FEAR: IF I EMBODY MY POWER, I WILL DRIVE PEOPLE AWAY.
What would happen if you claimed your sovereignty? How would your life change?
Making the shift from victimhood to sovereignty wasn’t easy:
⚡️ I had to clean up my MASSIVE debts I’d accumulated. Finally addressed the debt collectors and all my money fears. 😬
💋 Result >>> Opened the energy flow for massive money to come in and I finally have financial freedom.
⚡️ I took an inventory of my relationships. Turns out I had surrounded myself with disempowering people and needed to clear out my relationships. 🥺
💋 Result >>> I made room for ME and developed empowering relationships.
⚡️ I got real about my business and recognized that my strategy of SET GOAL —> GET DISTRACTED BY CRISIS —> FAILURE wasn’t working. I had to come to terms with my self-sabotage. 🤦🏼♀️
💋 Result >>> My business is thriving more than ever, and I’m helping people in big ways.
Take a stock of your life and think about how you playing small is actually created MORE of what you don’t want.
How are you contributing to your unhappiness and dissatisfaction? How are you limiting yourself from reaching your highest potential?
Being sovereign means taking radical self responsibility, and addressing what you’ve avoided for years. The good news is, once you clean up your messes in life, you can start to live fully without them looming over you.
How do you shift from victimhood to empowered and sovereign?
💕 STEP 1: Take stock of your life, and ask “How did I contribute to this?”
💕 STEP 2: Journal out what you’re still afraid to deal with and avoiding.
💕 STEP 3: Think through the worst case scenario (your deepest fear) and evaluate how likely that is to happen.
💕 STEP 4: Journal out what you want your life to look like from an empowered state.
💕 STEP 5: Own up to the life you’ve created, and start to take action to shift it into alignment with your true desires.
Reclaiming Your Worth
FEAR: I’M NOT CAPABLE OF CLAIMING MY INNER AUTHORITY.
What does it look like when you’re living from victimhood vs. sovereignty?
When I learned to embody my power, it was scary at first. But my life significantly improved:
👑 Challenges no longer felt overwhelming and traumatic. I could face them head on with grace and security.
👑 Money and my financial situation wasn’t something that terrified me. Even when in debt (Student loans, anyone?), I felt empowered to make decisions from my truth. And in flowed the cash!
👑 I felt capable of setting healthy boundaries, knowing my Truth and where I stand, and building relationships based in respect and dignity.
Take a look at your life. Are you confident in your abilities? Are you living your fullest potential?
Being sovereign means living in alignment with your Divine Truth and listening to your inner authority in every moment.
How do you remember your power and reclaim your sovereignty?
💕 STEP 1: Go within. Meditate, journal, learn to listen to yourself.
💕 STEP 2: Start releasing the voices, relationships, and beliefs that feed you negative messages about yourself.
💕 STEP 3: Strengthen your confidence. Find examples of times you were capable and courageous.
💕 STEP 4: Journal out what is working and what isn’t working in your life.
💕 STEP 5: Connect with your Divine Truth, and start to make a plan to take action towards improving your life.
Embodying Your Power
FEAR: IF I EMBODY MY POWER, I WILL DRIVE PEOPLE AWAY.
How would the people in your life respond to you standing in your power?
This question was a hard one to answer, but turned out to be one of the most important questions of my life.
⚡️ I had some people applaud me and encourage me when I started speaking my desires and claiming my worth.
⚡️ I had some people mock me and belittle me, trying to control me into submission. When I advocated for myself, they retaliated with even worse abuse.
⚡️ Some people seemed to be supportive, but abandoned and shamed me when I faced real challenges. Turns out, they were only there for me when things were going well. (More thoughts on toxic positivity coming soon.)
It’s easy to let the fear of judgement from others keep you playing small. Take a look at your life and notice where you’ve held back because you believed or were told you weren’t good enough.
Sovereignty means taking responsibility for the messages you let in and hold on to. True inner freedom comes when you can say “Yes” to the beliefs that empower you, and “No, thank you” to the ones that limit you.
How do you claim your power and cultivate empowered relationships?
💕 STEP 1: Reflect on what messages you’ve been told and continue to tell yourself.
💕 STEP 2: Evaluate - “Are these true for me?”
💕 STEP 3: Check in with yourself about your relationships. Identify the ones that feel good and the ones that don’t.
💕 STEP 4: Navigate setting boundaries and/or releasing the relationships that aren’t serving your highest potential.
💕 STEP 5: Make space for YOU, and cultivate healthy, empowered relationships.
I noticed that when I started to claim my worth, a lot of relationships fell away, and made room for new authentic ones. Owning my power was the best decision I’ve ever made.
