Mystical Messages of Easter Series: Crucifixion

Hello Lovely,

Welcome back to Day 5 of the Mystical Messages of Easter Series!

This Easter is an especially powerful one for me this year because I’m in my Christ Year, which is when you’re 33 years old - the same age Jesus supposedly was during the Easter story.

So I’m feeling deeply connected, not so much with the actual historical events of the Easter story (who knows if they’re true or not?!), but with the powerful mystical messages hidden within the tale.

And I hope that you can start to feel the same power that lies within the expanse of the Universe, and also within the mysteries of your soul.

Because the truth is, you are an expression of the Divine, and you have within your heart the potential to make a huge impact on the world. It’s time to step into your Divine Light and create a life in alignment with your higher self.

Yesterday I shared the metaphysical interpretation of the Palm Sunday story, which is all about recognizing that you have the Divine Light within you, and the power to experience miracles everyday.

Today I’ll be sharing the mystical meaning of the Crucifixion aspect of Holy Week.

Crucifixion:

The story of Jesus’ crucifixion has been retold a million ways - it’s a story of transformation and the trials and tribulations of the Hero’s Journey. It is an ancient archetypal story that predates Jesus by thousands of years.

And we all go through it.

You have gone through something that was challenging and you resisted it while it was happening. Maybe it was even traumatic, and required a lot of healing afterwards. Most powerfully transformative experiences do. (Rarely does someone completely change their entire sense of self unscathed…)

It’s the classic:

>> Coal is under so much pressure that it transforms and reveals it’s inner diamond.

>> The caterpillar weaving it’s own coffin to die, only to be reborn transformed as a magnificent creature with the freedom to fly.We all have transformative experiences where we come out triumphant and changed.

The story of Jesus’ crucifixion is the ultimate representation of separation consciousness - losing touch with the Divinity within our humanity.

We believe our human-ness and our divine-ness are two separate things. Like we have to become less human to become more divine. But this couldn’t be further from the truth.

Our Divinity lies within accepting our humanity; by embracing our nature as ever-changing creatures; by welcoming our experiences as a part of the journey to remembering who we really are: Divine.

The crucifixion is a representation of the moment we forget our own Divinity. Most people live their entire lives this way - forgetting who they are.

But you, are different. You are meant to remember your wholeness, your Truth, your wisdom, and your Divine Purpose.

You don’t have to be stuck in the moment of crucifying your consciousness, and living in separation from your whole self. You can be free.

And there’s one moment in this story that shows the way (Luke 23:34)…

Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.”

On the surface, this seems like Jesus is asking for forgiveness of the Romans who are murdering him. But the message for you is that you can forgive yourself for forgetting.

Forgetting your Truth, your Divinity, your wholeness. And for forgetting who you came here to be.

Because, as well all know, Jesus transcended this state of consciousness. His story doesn’t end with the suffering, and yours doesn’t either.

By practicing forgiveness, you heals the wounds of separation. In the moment of fragmentation, if you can be brave enough to open your heart to the wounded self, you can bring yourself back together again.

Jesus embraced his “killers” with forgiveness. And you can embrace your self-judgement with forgiveness. This is the act of embodying your Divinity, and you can finally be free from your burdens and begin to shine like the diamond of Wisdom within you.

Reflection Questions:
>> What is holding you back that you are ready to release, even if it might be painful or uncomfortable, so that you can transform into the Divine woman you were meant to be?

>> What are you ready to forgive so that you can find freedom?
