As a fellow counseling student, I understand the importance of making a great first impression. These headshot mini sessions are designed specifically for therapists-in-training and recent grads, capturing your approachable and authentic self.

I’m in the low-res MTC program (I just happen to live in Denver), and I will be at my own intensives at the Drala Mountain Center for a couple days this Fall. So it is a PERFECT location to get some professional therapist-branded headshots! These dates are EXCLUSIVELY available to Low-Res students who otherwise can’t take advantage of my on-campus mini sessions. But due to requests from low-res students, I decided to carve some time out of my intensive free-time to offer these shoots!

Session Details:

  • Cost for Current Graduate Counseling Naropa Students: $50

  • Duration: 15 minutes

  • Included: 5-10 professionally edited photos

How to Book:

  1. Choose Your Date and Time Slot: Select a convenient time from the available slots. I’m offering sessions (almost) every Wednesday through the Fall ‘24 semester.

  2. Fill Out the Booking Form: Provide your details and preferences in the form provided on the next page. This helps tailor the session to your needs.

  3. Make Payment: Secure your spot by paying through our secure online payment system. The cost is $50 for current Naropa graduate counseling students and $80 for Naropa graduate counseling alumnx. Payment must be completed to finalize your booking. (Bonus tip: If you own a business and pay taxes in the US, you can claim this as a business expense!)

  4. Prepare for Your Shoot: After your book your session, you will receive a confirmation email with information about your mini session and can download the guide on how to prepare for your shoot.

    • Location:

      • DRALA MOUNTAIN CENTER: Indoor and Outdoor options

    • Dates:

      • Oct 23-24, 2024 (Wed-Thurs)

      • Nov 4-5, 2024 (Mon-Tues)

    • What to Wear:

      • Opt for attire that reflects your professional yet approachable style. Cardigans are THE go-to therapist look, if you want to make it simple. But you get to bring your original style. (Bowties, statement earrings, hats, etc. are welcome - whatever makes you feel the most YOU and gives a great impression to your future clients.)

      • If you have a brand color palette, choose an outfit that will match those colors for your website. Simple, solid colors work best.

      • Do your hair and makeup (or go au naturale if that’s your vibe), trim your beard, get looking good. You want to look your best for this shoot! Think of it as your professional school picture day.

      • You will have ONE outfit for this shoot (it’s only 15 minutes!), but if you have a jacket, cardigan, shawl, etc that you want to remove for some pics and have on for others, that will work in this time frame.

      • I realize that low-res MTC students are traveling in from out of state, and need to fit a week’s worth of clothes into a suitcase. So bring an outfit that you can double up for wearing one day at the intensive. I’d suggest keeping it unworn until the shoot so it’s not wrinkly or dirty, then you could wear it after as a day’s outfit.

      • A benefit of me living locally is that I drive to the intensives and can bring extra items in my car. So I will be bringing a few cardigans of different sizes with me that might be good for people to throw on for the shoot to give some options that are still therapist looking.

    • What to Bring:

      • Your beautiful face and an open mind! (I’ll help you and direct your positioning, so don’t be nervous about posing. I got you.)

      • Any props that reflect your therapy practice (1-2 items MAX. Ex: A small handheld singing bowl, some charcoal for art therapy, your DSM, etc. No large props or anything that takes time to set up.).

I’m looking forward to connecting with you and exploring how we can work together to support your personal growth and well-being!
