Mystical Messages of Easter Series: Palm Sunday

Hello Lovely ,

I’m really excited to come to you today because we’re approaching Easter, and many people across the world are preparing for celebrations in their homes during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Now, I’m not a Christian per se, but I am a deeply spiritual person and have dedicated my academic and professional careers to pursuing deep meaning that can be found in the world wisdom traditions.

And Easter is one of those special religious holidays that is packed with spiritual teachings hidden within it.

Each year, I do a free series in the week leading up to Easter called the Mystical Messages of Easter, and I’m here to share with you how the different aspects of this story can help you to uplevel your spiritual practice, reclaim your inherent Divinity, and build a life in alignment with your higher purpose.

So I’m here to offer you the mystical interpretation of the Easter story that we all know so well:

>> Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey on Palm Sunday
>> He had the last supper with his Disciples on Passover
>> He was betrayed by Judas and arrested after his prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane
>> He was crucified by the Romans on Good Friday and buried in a tomb
>> Only to appear to his followers in the flesh three days later, and ascend to Heaven on Easter.

Whether the events of Holy Week are true historically or simply a retelling of a more ancient fable is not really relevant to your life today. But by interpreting this story symbolically, you can glean the powerful message of release and transformation in your own life.

After all, you weren’t meant to live a mundane life, without meaning or purpose. You have a Divine Purpose that can be found in spending time connecting deeply with your sense of self and your inner Truth.

Palm Sunday:

This is a message of having courage, showing up, and being authentically present in a balanced way.

At the time, Jesus was a celebrated and significant spiritual teacher. So when he came riding into Jerusalem to celebrate the Jewish holy day Passover, people were excited to see him, cheering for him on the streets and laying down their coats in his path to create a 1st Century CE version of the Red Carpet.

And maybe this has happened in your life - you’ve put people on a pedestal and invested everything you had into learning from them, hoping they’d give you the answers to unlock your inner power.

I know I have. I’ve attended every event, joined every seminar, and signed up for every program you can think of. When I thought I was searching for the answers from someone else, I was only taking myself further away from my Truth, which was within my all along.

And the truth is that Jesus rode into town on a donkey, rather than a horse, which were typically used for royalty and important figures. A donkey was a common person’s animal, and Jesus specifically chose to use an animal that represented his connection with all people.

He famously said, “You will also do the works that I do, and will do greater works than these.” (John 14:12) Jesus was talking about the innate power you have within you to do extraordinary things.

According to legend, Jesus told us himself that we all have the power to perform miracles in our lives. A Course in Miracles teaches that our natural state is one of miracles; that the power of the miraculous and engaging with the Divine should be present in our everyday lives. And if we’re not experiencing miracles, then we’re not resting in our natural state.

Of course, miracles doesn’t mean walking on water, raising people from the dead, or turning water into wine… (I’d LOVE to sip on some self-made miracle wine on the top of a pool with no float, while hanging out with loved ones who have already passed… But that’s not what we’re talking about here.

Miracles are the auspicious synchronicities that happen in every day life that are the unexpected gifts from the Universe. And you can get your vibrational frequency into alignment with these gifts through practicing gratitude, love, and hope.

And this is the true meaning of Jesus riding in to Jerusalem on a donkey on Palm Sunday. It was another way of him telling the world that we all have the potential to express our Divine Wisdom with the world, transform our sense of self, and create a life in alignment with our purpose… Just like he did.
